Bedrooms & Layout

The castle follows the traditional medieval tower layout, with a spiral staircase connecting all levels.

The rooms branch off the staircase in the following order:

• Kitchen, dining area and bathroom on the ground level

• Bedroom 1

• Bathroom 2

• The Great Hall

• Bedroom 2

• The Minstrels’ Gallery with Bedroom 3

• Bathroom 3

• Bedroom 4 at the top level

This historic layout adds to the unique character of staying in a real medieval tower.

The Spiral Staircase

An original spiral staircase runs through the entire castle, connecting each level from top to bottom. It remains one of the few surviving examples of its kind in the region.

The Dining Room & Kitchen

The dining room features a large, richly carved 17th-century table that comfortably seats eight guests. The adjoining kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, including a range cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer, allowing guests to enjoy both historic atmosphere and modern convenience.

The Great Hall

The Great Hall forms the heart of the castle. With its impressive original Gothic fireplace and centuries-old stone walls, it offers a warm and atmospheric space to relax after a day exploring the surrounding countryside.

The Minstrels’ Gallery

Overlooking the Great Hall, the Minstrels’ Gallery provides a unique sleeping space with a double bed. Its elevated position adds a distinctive historic character and offers a charming view over the main hall below.

Bedroom Chamber

This cosy bedroom features a traditional four-poster bed, wardrobe, and central heating, combining historic charm with modern comfort.

Main Bathroom

The castle’s original bathing chamber has been carefully renovated, preserving its historic character while offering modern comfort.

Upper Bedroom

Located at the top of the castle, this bedroom offers beautiful views over the surrounding grounds and landscape. It includes a double bed, wardrobe, and central heating.
